Orlando hates Johnny Depp

Ok, I acknowledge that Orlando Bloom's got a sense of humour. He nearly deserves kudos for taking the Michael out of himself ;)

Faves Old and New: September 2010

September...hmmm, the month I came to like Delphic! A band that uses sampling as one central tool, but has indie guitar sounds and fab drums:

"Doubt"

"Counterpoint"

A friend showed me "The dark side of the Travis" :D ...

...and another one recommended Seether's song 'Broken', which sounds a bit like Nickleback haha

And for some comedy, here we have some rude Americans in England ...

...and German comedian, Hape Kerkeling, explains why Germans are not very popular abroad:

Enjoy :-)

Faves Old and New: July 2010

July and August were the months in which I rediscovered German music artists such as

Die Fantastischen Vier (The Fantastic Four) with their unplugged version of 'Tag am Meer (day at the seaside)

here without the actual video, as Sony decided to make it unavailable for UK user -.-"

Silbermond (Silvermoon) "Das Beste (The best)"

Wir sind Helden (We are heroes) "Guten Tag"

Sportfreunde Stiller "Ein Kompliment"

Sportfreunde Stiller "Tage wie dieser"

Turntablerocker "No melody"

Take That's "Wooden Boat" live from the Circus Live Tour

Pigott Brothers with "Rich Man"

Muse "Uprising"

Mumford and Sons 'Lion Head'

Radical Face 'Welcome Home'

Paolo Nutini 'Candy'

Goo Goo Dolls 'Home'

Gnarls Barkley 'Run' - crazy ass voice :D

Good old school prog: Genesis' Watcher of the Skies

I love her: Kate Bush 'Gaelic Song'

And I love him, too: Peter Gabriel with Solsbury Hill

And yet another reason to buy an iPhone, and NOT a BB ;)

A greedy bugger:

Crazy body popping kid going mental

Eddie Izzard talking about Dr Who and the Daleks

OMG - Must see!!!

And someone, who kills people...allegedly

Have I posted stuff by Flight of the Concords yet?

I'm sure I have posted this one be4:

And Nate Dern is just adorable.

Faves New and Old: May and June 2010

SO here we are again...I nearly forgot about my poor neglected blog. Time to infuse some new life into it :) So where to begin?

Oh yes, first, I discovered that Mr Bean in fact is Dr Who!! ...

... then Gary Lightbody told us that we should all appreciate technology a little bit more, and sent us this video...

...followed by German comedian, Dieter Nuhr, who tell us a little bit about human nature (if only Hobbes and Machiavelli had been so entertaining hehe)...

...again followed by Germany's Hape Kerkeling's observation that German's aren't very popular abroad:

Found a little bit of nice music on the web, like The Futureheads 'Meantime' ...

...Dove's 'Kingdom of Rust'...

...and apparently Justin Bieber doesn't know what German is. -.-"

Admittedly, I was contemplating to go to cinema to watch this:

And talking of Remakes; I cannot wait for second season of the refurbished "V"

A bit more comedy here...

...here...

....and here - Zachary Levy is such a sweetheart...
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=421376656453&ref=mf

...and he can sing too!!!

My friend Jonathan White is a fan of this ol chap ;) ...

..whilst I have come to like this song without actually having watched a single episode of Glee.

Hollywood disappointed me a little by doing a cheap remake of a great British film - I mean, seriously? Did your authors go on strike again?

I am not sure anymore why I posted this on my fb...

...but I know why I posted this one. Great song by Rick Astley...No, not 'NeverGonnaGiveYouUp' - your sooo predictable :P

Cadbury's tried out some arty farty advert

When Gene Hunt attempts to change careers:

And Brucie really should stick to dancing:

I love this song!!! and the video is awesome!!

Eric Bana comedy:

I have come to be convinced that technology needs some love, too! ...

... and that the Electric Light Orchestra are certainly worth checking out, since they have been in the music biz for like a million years!!!

Faves New and Old: April 2010

<-- click on image to listen to the song

When I listened to the new version of 'Everybody Hurts' organised by Simon Cowell for the victims of the Haiti Earthquake, I felt an urge to listen to the original by R.E.M. (I am not linking this as well, as you can find it easily on youtube). Through this I stumbled over this old gem as well as 'Shiny Happy People', the latter being a total contrast to 'Everybody Hurts'! Brilliant band, brilliant songs, LOVE!!!

....also found some weird Korean comedy:

...and for some politics and a good chuckle, I stumbled over this (sheep have more brain activity than those morons!):
